How do the features of DJI Avata 360 differ across various control methods and shooting modes?

Feature availability varies based on your control method and shooting mode.

360° Mode:

8K/60fps HDR video recording, FocusTrack, the 360° Virtual Gimbal, omnidirectional obstacle sensing, and other 360°‑specific features are available only in 360° mode. Some intelligent features vary by control method.

· Only available when using goggles paired with a motion controller: features such as acrobatic maneuvers and Head Tracking.

· Only available when used with a standard remote controller: features such as QuickShots and ActiveTrack 360° in FocusTrack.

Single Lens Mode:

This mode only supports video recording, with a maximum resolution of 4K/60fps. In this mode:

· When used with goggles and motion controller, you can fly and shoot in First-Person View (FPV) for better flat video image quality.

· When used with a standard remote controller, you can also fly and shoot in First-Person View (FPV). The footage tilts with the drone's attitude, giving your footage a dynamic, FPV-style look.

Does the max transmission distance of the O4+ video transmission system vary according to the interference level of the environment?

In different environments, the wireless interference level is different, and the max transmission distance will vary.

Unobstructed:

Strong Interference: Urban landscape, approx. 1.5-4 km

Medium Interference: Suburban landscape, approx. 4-10 km

Low Interference: Suburb/Seaside, approx. 10-20 km

Obstructed:

Low Interference and Obstructed by Buildings: approx. 0-0.7 km

Low Interference and Obstructed by Trees: approx. 0.7-4.5 km

I am new to drones, what accessories are recommended?

microSD card: DJI Mini 4K does not have internal storage. Without a microSD card inserted, users can only capture single, low-quality photos or record 720p videos. The files will be directly stored on the mobile device. A microSD card can expand the storage of Mini 4K and unlock all its creative functions while providing space for the original photos and videos captured.

360° Propeller Guard*: Fully wraps the propellers for added safety, suitable for flying indoors and in scenarios with obstacles.

Two-way Charging Hub: Holds three batteries and charges them in sequence, and can be used as a mobile power source to charge a remote controller, smartphone, and other devices.

When should I install and use DJI Neo 2 Digital Transceiver, and when should I avoid it?

When flying the drone with a remote controller or goggles, install DJI Neo 2 Digital Transceiver for stable, low‑latency video transmission.

When using palm control only, remove the DJI Neo 2 Digital Transceiver to reduce aircraft weight and extend flight time.

Does DJI Flip support automatic power-on when unfolding the arms and automatic power-off when folding the arms?

DJI Flip supports automatic power-on when the arms are unfolded. The drone will power on automatically when any rear arm is extended. When unfolded, the drone will also power on automatically after a battery replacement, allowing for quick relaunch. If the drone is not performing an upgrade, playback, or download,* folding both rear arms will trigger an automatic shutdown countdown. During the countdown, pressing any button on the drone will cancel the shutdown.

These features can be disabled in the app's settings page when the drone is connected to the remote controller.** Once disabled, the drone will no longer power on automatically when the arms are unfolded or power off automatically when the arms are folded.

* If the drone has experienced a collision during the current flight, the fold-to-shutdown feature will not be activated for that flight.

Do I need a license to fly a DJI drone in the US?

The FAA requires drone registration for most drones weighing more than 0.55 lbs / 250g. Drones weighing 250g or less may be exempt from registration when flown strictly for recreational purposes under the Exception for Limited Recreational Operations. Commercial or Part 107 operations may require registration regardless of weight. Customers should register through FAADroneZone when required.
