02 Preparing Your Device
2.1 Smartphone Compatibility
The Osmo Mobile 7 series is designed to seamlessly work with a wide range of popular smartphones. It is recommended to use smartphones with a width of 67-84 mm, thickness of 6.9-10 mm, and weight of 170-300 g.
2.2 Device Charging
Use the included power cable (USB-C to USB-C, 50 cm) to charge your gimbal until the battery level indicator turns off. In just 2.5 hours, the gimbal will be fully charged and ready to unleash your creativity!

2.3 Unfolding & Folding
Unfold: Unfold the gimbal, and it will automatically power on, ready for action.
Fold: Press and hold the M button, and the gimbal will smartly rotate to a foldable position and power off.

2.4 Connecting DJI Mimo
Download and run the DJI Mimo app, enable Bluetooth on your phone, and pair it with your Osmo Mobile 7 series device.

2.5 Firmware Update
A prompt will appear in DJI Mimo when new firmware is available. Follow the on-screen instructions to update the firmware.
- When there is firmware update available for the Multifunctional Module, install it to the phone clamp. During the update of the gimbal firmware via the app, the firmware for the Multifunctional Module will be updated accordingly.
- Ensure that the battery level indicator shows solid green before the update. Do not close DJI Mimo or switch it to the background during the update.
- If the update fails, restart DJI Mimo, reestablish the Bluetooth connection, and retry.

No. They are not interchangeable for the following reasons:

2. The hardware design for charging the smartphone via the multifunctional module is different from that of the gimbal handle.
