A Beginner's Guide to DJI Avata 2

Ensure a seamless flying experience by fully charging your Intelligent Flight Battery before each use. It is recommended that you use DJI's dedicated charging devices, including DJI Avata 2 Two-Way Charging Hub and DJI 65W Portable Charger.

Alternatively, you can also rely on other chargers that support the USB PD fast charging protocol. Both DJI Avata 2 Two-Way Charging Hub and DJI 65W Portable Charger are optional accessories. For detailed instructions on how to charge your device, refer to the following content:

Precautions for Batteries

1. After the battery is fully charged and remains idle for three days, the auto-discharge function is triggered, causing the battery to automatically discharge to 96% of the battery level, and approximately 60% when idle for nine days. It is normal to feel moderate heat from the battery while it is discharging.

2. Fully charge the battery at least once every three months to maintain the battery health. Leaving the battery idle for an extended period will impact its performance, or even result in permanent damage.

3. For safety purposes, keep the battery level at a low power level in transit. Before transportation, it is recommended that you discharge the battery to 30% or lower.

There are two
types of DJI Avata 2 propellers, which are designed to spin in different directions (CW and CCW). Marks are used to indicate which propellers should be attached to which motors. Make sure to match the propellers and motors by following the instructions.

The DJI Fly app is required for product activation and connection.

DJI Avata 2, DJI Goggles 3 and DJI RC Motion 3 are already linked when purchased together as a combo. In this scenario, you can use them immediately after activation and powering on. therwise, follow the instructions below to link them:

DJI Avata 2 requires activation with DJI Fly before first time. Make sure that the drone, goggles, and motion controller are linked after powering on. Connect the USB-C port of the goggles to your phone, run DJI Fly, and follow the on-screen prompts to activate your device. An Internet connection is required for activation.

Use either of the following methods to update the DJI Avata 2 firmware:

• Using DJI Fly

• Using DJI Assistant 2 (Consumer Drones Series)

If the drone successfully records the Home Point and the positioning system is functioning properly, when the Return to Home (RTH) function is triggered, the drone will automatically fly back and land at the Home Point

If the drone does not take off, or if it brakes and hovers after pressing the lock button once on DJI RC Motion 3, you can utilize the AR Cursor feature of the motion controller to control the goggles interface using the white ray and circular cursor.

DJI Goggles 3 is equipped with binocular cameras, providing you with effortless situational awareness without the need to remove the goggles. You can enable Real View PiP by tapping on the right side of your goggles twice with your fingertip or pressing the dial on DJI RC Motion 3 twice. This feature allows you to see a real-time view of your surroundings.

Toggle the 5D button down to open the quick settings panel and select Easy ACRO. Then, the drone enters the Easy ACRO mode. Easy ACRO actions include Roll, 180° Drift, and Flip.

During flight, DJI Goggles 3 enables you to share the live feed with your friends in three ways, enhancing the enjoyment of your flight.

Upon receiving your purchased storage card, you will also find a card holder that doubles as a storage card adapter, which is designed to seamlessly connect the TF slot of a computer, enabling easy transfer of footage. Please note that the storage card is inserted into the aircraft without the card adapter.

QuickTransfer helps you quickly transfer the footage from your drone to a mobile device. You can also connect your drone to a computer using a USB-C cable to export files to computer folders.
