02 Preparing Your Device

2.1 Installing Battery & Charging

2.2 Powering On/Off

Press and hold the Power/Quick Switch button to power the camera on or off.

2.3 Activating the Device

For first-time use, the camera should be activated in the DJI Mimo app. 

Enable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on the mobile device. Open the DJI Mimo app, tap the camera icon on the home screen, and follow the prompts to connect and activate the camera.

2.4 Firmware Update

A prompt will appear in DJI Mimo when new firmware is available after the camera is connected. Tap the prompt and follow the on-screen instructions to update the firmware for the best experience.

3.2 Shooting Settings

· Switch between Shooting Modes

Swipe left or right on the liveview to enter the mode switch page.

· Set Shooting Parameters

Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to access the parameters settings. Various parameters can be adjusted in different shooting modes.

· Set Image Parameters

In the liveview, tap the parameter adjustment icon to modify image settings and other parameters.

3.3 Subject Tracking

In Subject Tracking mode, capturing video ensures that the subject remains centered within the frame. No matter if you’re skiing, riding, or vlogging your day, your main subject always takes center stage!

3.4 Super Slow Motion

With the Super Slow Motion feature, you can turn regular videos into ultra slow-motion right on your camera—it breaks them down frame by frame and adds extra ones, so you get those epic, jaw-dropping moments in fast-paced activities like cycling or skiing.

3.5 Underwater Usage

Osmo Action 6 can be used underwater at depths of up to 20 m. It is recommended to use it with the Osmo Action 60m Waterproof Case, which will increase its waterproof capabilities to 60 meters.

3.6 Stabilization Mode

Osmo Action 6 gives you four awesome stabilization modes—RockSteady, RockSteady+, HorizonBalancing, and HorizonSteady—so you can capture super smooth, steady shots no matter what kind of action you’re filming.

3.7 Depth and Altitude Detection

The camera is equipped with a professional-grade pressure sensor that can detect the current altitude and diving depth. You can also add your recorded data right into your videos, making your sports moments even more impressive and fun to share.

3.8 Dashboard

The DJI Mimo app's dashboard feature enables the visualization of real-time sports data such as speed, trajectory direction, total distance, and altitude, enriching your video footage with sports data.

04 Footage Playback and Transfer

4.1 Storage Space

The camera comes with 50GB of built-in storage and also allows you to expand the space with a microSD card. Click to view the list ofcompatible microSD cards.

4.2 Footage Playback

Tap the playback icon on the screen to access the playback page and view your captured footage. While watching a video, tap and hold anywhere on the screen to play it at double speed.

4.3 Transferring Files

Once you’ve finished filming, you can transfer your footage to a mobile device or computer to save and back it up.
